Free Meditation Practice
At the Plymouth Senior Center
Wednesdays from 9:45 to 10:15 am
Meditation is a great way to calm your mind and relieve stress. This class includes a simple series of standing stretches, followed by breathing exercises, then guided relaxation, finishing with a 10 minute silent meditation. This practice can be done in your everyday clothes and takes place as you sit in a chair, no worries about sitting on the floor. No experience is needed.
Based on 5 parts of the 8 part yoga philosophy, this class will lead you through:
- Asana - physical yoga
- Pranayama - breathing techniques
- Pratyahara - turning inward
- Dharana - focus
- Dhyana - meditation
No registration is required. Drop-in to any class. Consistent attendance and practice will bring about more sustainable results.
